How to play Bandle

The first layer is usually drums. Replay it, loop it or jump back and forth as often as you like; listening never costs a try.

Guess or skip
Search for a song or an artist and pick a result. A wrong guess or a skip uses one of your six tries and adds the next layer of instruments.

Use the final clue
After five layers, the sixth try keeps the full mix and adds a short text clue. Solve it to finish the day.

Green means you found the song. Orange means you picked the right artist but the wrong song, which still uses a try. Red is a wrong song, and grey marks a skip.

How are the instruments added?
Each song is split into five layers. You start with one, and every wrong guess or skip adds the next one on top, so the song gets easier to recognise.
Does skipping cost a try?
Yes. Skipping moves you to the next layer and uses one of your six tries, just like a wrong guess. Replaying the audio is always free.
What happens on the sixth try?
No new instrument is added. You keep the full mix and get a short text clue about the song.
Is the audio the original recording?
Not always. Some songs use layered mixes from Bandle's daily puzzles, where the vocals are a cover. Others are our own mixes of AI-separated stems. The result screen names the source of each song.
When does a new song start?
A new song starts every day at 00:00 UTC. The countdown under the game shows how long is left.
Will I lose my progress if I switch language?
No. Your game is saved in this browser, so refreshing or switching between English, Chinese, Spanish and German keeps the same tries.
Can I play another song today?
Bandle is one song a day. When you finish, you can replay the layers and share your result, then try our other music games while you wait.
